God Gets You with Bec Tobar - 13 October 2019

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16. Jesus didn’t deserve to feel the shame, but he felt it. He didn’t deserve the humiliation, but he experienced it. He had never sinned, yet he was treated like a sinner. Jesus understands all the guilt, remorse, and embarrassment.

Take up the space God has given you to occupy!
with Warren Mortomore - 6 October 2019

‘When we are full of ourselves, there is less room for God, when we are full of God, less room for ourselves’ There is nothing wrong with being at the top – as long as you acknowledge that God has put you there. ‘The Lord detests all the proud of heart’ Proverbs 16:5(NIV)

Choosing to do life together - Strong Connections Series

with Bec Tobar - 25 August 2019

Relationships help build and establish our God connection.God brings people into our lives for a purpose. Community not only gives us a good place to practise our “Christ likeness” but it often is a good indication of where we are on our maturity journey

What does my relationship with others really say about my relationship with God? EVERYTHING....

1 John 4:20 - Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whowever does not love their brother and sister, whom the have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. (NIV)

What does God promise about prayer? with Bec Tobar - 29 September 2019

The purpose of prayer is communion, it is the pathway for genuine connection between you and your heavenly father. ‘Just like the disciples, one of the main barriers for us praying is we feel like we don’t know how.’

We believe in expressing ourselves to God with music.

We have an active team of musicians, singers and songwriters who bring a musical expression to our corporate worship that is unique to our church family.

Bible Reading Plan

Here at HopePoint Church we are all encouraged to do the same reading plan. The benefit that we have found from all reading the same plan, is that we are all on the same page and can easily encourage one another in a relevant way.

Start your day with Bible in One Year, a Bible reading app with commentary by Nicky and Pippa Gumbel. Nicky Gumbel is the Vicar of HTB in London and pioneer of Alpha. 'My favourite way to start the day.' - Bear Grylls, Adventurer.

You can find Bible in One Year  HERE.  You can also download their app to your Phone or Tablet.

We also have a print out of the daily readings HERE.

How do I Journal?

One way to journal is to use the following acronym:

S – Write down the Scripture verse that stands out to you

O – What Observation can you make about the verse? Consider the context of the passage.

A – What is the Application of scripture for your personal life?

P – Respond to God in Prayer based on what has been highlighted to you from the passage.

Weekly Devotionals

It all started when…

Wayne Cordeiro visited our church in 2005, and encouraged us as a church to start journaling and record the things that God shows us through our daily devotions.

To encourage our church family, someone from our core team shares a journal entry each week to encourage the church.
